This time of year I crave colour. Everything is white, grey and brown. One way to brighten my surroundings is colourful spring flowers. I did a post a while back about forcing bulbs.
One of my favourite spring flowers is the Tulip. The only problem with them, is they tend to droop over in the vase.
A florist friend of mine gave me a tip years ago and it really works. After you have freshly cut and arranged your tulips, toss in a couple of copper pennies. Try it. It really does work.
Do you have any tips on how to keep your cut flowers fresh?
